Present Weather and Visibility Sensor

PWS 500 IR sensorThe PWS 500 IR is a compact Present Weather Sensor, which uses optical backscatter technique for analyzing water particles of different forms in the air like fog, rain or snow. Information on current visibility and precipitation type and intensity is detected and reported.

Thanks to its compact design the PWS 500 IR uses very low power consumption to keep its optics dry. With the shields protecting the optics from direct sunlight and rain, the lenses can be kept clean and very low maintenance is required.
